The Workshop on Flood Response – Henan Case, was organized on 19 May. Dr. Qu Sixi delivered the opening remarks and pointed out that China's experience could support other developing countries to improve the capability of flood response and resilience through South-South Cooperation. Experts from NDRCC and Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of Henan Province of P. R. China introduced flood risk monitoring, early warning, and major floods loss assessment, and post-disaster farmland restoration and reconstruction. Ms. Katiuscia Fara, Senior Climate and DRR Advisor of RBB, delivered the closing remarks and highlighted that South-South Cooperation events where we can share good practices and lessons learned are key to improving the way we plan for and implement disaster risk management and avoid future losses and damages Dr. Jia Yan moderated the workshop.
